Amalie Cecilia (b. 1995) is a painter working primarily with oil, acrylic, and oil pastel. Her practice explores the simplicity of everyday life and the relationship between landscapes as both external and internal spaces, with a particular interest in the subtle changes in nature that unfold with the changing seasons. Inspired by the landscapes of Denmark’s western coastline, Amalie Cecilia develops simplified forms and open spaces through a restrained palette of greens, browns, and blues.
