Emma Sloth Sørensen

Copenhagen, Denmark

Emma Sloth Sørensen (b. 1994) explores spirituality as a connection to our surroundings, other people and nature, and as a longing for community and goodness. Drawing on historical imagery and its pictorial richness, her work reflects on a time when everyday life was closely connected to nature and belief. These symbols become a way of questioning how spirituality is understood and rationalised today. Through her work, she invites viewers to think beyond logic, reflect on their own spirituality and imagine a different kind of world. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, she holds a BA in Visual Communication from the Royal Danish Academy (2020). She has exhibited across Denmark, including group exhibitions with Ulstrup Gallery, A Mon Avis and Kunstsalonen.
